Random Image #2

This is a stethoscope. It's usage is for auscultating heart sounds, lungs and breath sounds, abdominal sounds, etc. It has a bell and a diaphragm. Not all steths have bells, but all have diaphragms. The bell (the smaller head) is used in listening to low-pitched sounds while the diaphragm (the bigger and flatter head) is used in listening to high-pitched sounds.
